After having lunch in a local restaurant, continue to visit the peculiar wood-structured Hanging Monastery on the cliff at the foot of Hengshan Mountain. Built in 491, Hanging Monastery has a history of more than 1400 years. Seen from below, it appears to be a tumbledown castle in the air, which gives a breath-taking view of Chinese architecture. Listen to your guide’s commentary of its history, and walk into the Monastery to explore this rare architecture.
