Join your guide for a tour through Japan’s largest entertainment district with many restaurants, cinemas and nightlife venues lining its streets. You’ll be led by your guide to off the beaten path locations as well as to the neighbourhood’s bold and bright places.

Starting at Shinjuku Station, we head to the shopping area to experience as a local the district in full swing. See the charming exterior of the Shinjuku Suehirotei Theatre, one of few remaining yose (vaudeville) theatres left in the city, on our way to the Hanazono Shrine founded in the mid-17th century. Wander through the Golden Gai, the area’s buzzing bar district with many ‘hole-in-the-wall’ spots, as well as the entertainment venues and game arcades of Kabukicho, heading to Omoide Yokocho. This area comprises a small network of alleys filled with charming eateries and restaurants where along the way you can enjoy a delicious local Kabukicho delicacy. And if that’s not enough, at the end of the tour, your guide can assist you with ordering any additional food or menus for you to enjoy.

The tour will stop by an izakaya (Japanese-style bar) for 1 drink at Shinjuku Golden Gai. Other food and drinks have to be paid by the participant. Dress code: Please wear comfortable walking shoes as this tour will cover a distance of 2.5km (1.55mi) by foot.
