Cathedral Walk along the St John’s Church road is an important tour through the centuries old Cathedrals. The architecture is highly admired and one can peek into pieces of Cantonment history that are engraved in their precincts. Benson Town, Cox Town, Fraser Town in the East Bangalore have been home to the English settlements that revolved around the Bangalore Cantonment.
The nucleus of these towns have been the many Cathedrals, Basilicas, ancient Chapels and Churches known for their varied architectural styles, elaborate carvings, colonial facades and domes. This walk will soak in the old world charm of Richards Town, a quaint neighborhood in east Bangalore. Catch a breath of fresh air and some snippets of local history in the verdant Richards Park and see a few pretty yesteryear villas and local churches. We'll share intriguing stories about the Garden City and its Cantonment while enjoying the idyllic settings of a Paulogy, a unique gallery that takes viewers back to Bangalore of the 70s.
