On foot we will visit an introduction to the historical center of Prague (World Heritage Site by UNESCO since 1992). Know the most important monuments and history.During the visit, appreciate the majesty of the Powder Tower along with the Municipal House. Continuing on the streets cobbled Old Town will follow the old Camino Real. Celetná get down the street toward the Old Town Square where you can enjoy the stunning variety of architectural styles. Will pay special attention to the church Our Lady of Tyn (or Ungelt) and the beautiful baroque church of St. Nicholas. Then, through the Plaza Franz Kafka Mariánské arrive at the Plaza. Next to Klementinum (former headquarters of the Jesuit order), followed by the street Karlova to the Charles Bridge, the most famous city in his time the only connection between Old Town and the Party Lesser. Skirt the river and through the Jewish quarter toward the Old Town Square will finish the check in front the Astronomical Clock.
Walk around the essential of the historic old town, declared World Heritage Site by Unesco in 1992. We started the tour at the Municipal House, a majestic jewel of modernist art. We follow the Gunpowder Tower and Celetná Street to Old Town Square, which is, itself, an exhibition of centuries of architecture: from the Gothic of Our Lady of Tyn, through examples of modernism and historicism to Baroque St. Nicholas Church. From there we continue by Franz Kafka Square Marianské to the square, where stands the Clementine, built at the time as a Jesuit university. Drive along Karlova Street to Charles Bridge, the symbol of the city. It is a monument of the Gothic Civil engineering , plastered with Baroque statues in a unique combination. The route follows the right bank of the river to the Jewish Quarter, and ends up back in the Old Town Square, the Astronomical Clock at the foot.
Prague Castle, symbol of the Czech state. Prague Castle is the set of buildings located in the highest area of the historic center. It has been, from the Middle Ages to the present, home of kings and presidents as head of state, which places enormous historical interest. We will see the three courtyards of the castle and stop at the Cathedral of St. Vitus. The stained glass windows, the chapel of St. Wenceslas and the impressive tomb of San Juan Nepomuceno silver are some of the monuments in the cathedral. We now turn to the Old Royal Palace, with the staircase and the stunning Riders Vladislav hall, jewel of the late Gothic. In this historic palace took place "Defenestration of Prague" symbolic beginning of the War of the Trenta years in the s. XVII. Another point of interest we will see is the Golden Lane, famous among other things for having been home to Franz Kafka in one of their cottages. We ended up descending to the level of the city called Old Castle Steps, with a memorable panoramic view to Lesser Town Square. Since there is optional arrive at the church of Our Lady of Victory, which houses the image of the Infant Jesus of Prague, of Spanish origin and especially venerated by Christians in Latin America.
The Castle dominates the landscape over the Vltava River and has been for centuries, home of princess, kings and presidents. Travel by bus to the district of Hradcany. The tour includes 3 courtyards of the Castle, detailed tour of Sanvito Cathedral (gothic and neo-gothic sector).
