Combine two springtime highlights with a tour to Volendam and Zaanse Schans as well as the beautiful flower fields and Keukenhof flower park – one of the largest in the world.

From Amsterdam we head out into the open countryside to Zaanse Schans, where a unique peat meadow landscape awaits you. The oldest industrial area in Western Europe, its landscape is characterised by wooden windmills, barns and farmhouses. You’re invited into a windmill by a local miller who will share their love and enthusiasm as they regale you with fascinating facts. Next stop is the vibrant fishing village of Volendam, on the shore Ijselmeer. A lively and busy harbour, this is the perfect place to soak up the small town charm. Visit the Volendam Museum to learn all about the town’s traditions before touring the Cheese Factory and tasting the cheese.

Discover the true colours of Holland as we tour through the area that is renowned for its flower industry and farmers. On our way to Keukenhof, where possible, we make stops so that you can take colourful pictures of the Netherlands that everybody sees in the glossy magazines. Behold Keukenhof, 7 million bulbs planted and 800 varieties of tulips are what make this flower park special. You’ll have about two and a half hours to explore the park yourself and absorb the pleasant colours and fragrances.
