This tour allows you a glimpse of Beijing of the past and a look at Beijing of the present. Mutianyu is one of best preserved parts of the Great Wall. Located approximately 70 kilometres from the city, it was built as part of the defense for the Capital and the imperial tombs. The section of the wall that can be seen today was built during the Ming Dynasty.
This is followed by a visit to the Ming Tombs. Located at the foot of Tianshou Mountain and covering an area of 80 square meters, the Ming Tombs is the site of the mausoleums of thirteen of the emperors of the Ming Dynasty.
