Ulupinar is a traditional Turkish village located 30km from Kemer. This place is famous for its’ icy cold water which comes from the Taurus Mountains and has long been used by local people for trout farming. There are some Turkish-style restaurants in Ulupinar situated along the river offering fishing, swimming and picnic facilities.
This tour begins with a short drive to Ulupinar where, on arrival some information is given about the place and the day’s programme before the fishing equipment is distributed and everyone who wants to, can try to catch some trout from the river. After 1-1.5 hours of fishing there is free time to explore the area while the cook prepares your catch. This beautiful area is a great place to explore; it is possible to walk along the side of the mountain river, passing small waterfalls. If brave enough, an icy swim can be enjoyed in the river.
After enjoying the fresh air and working up an appetite, it is time to have a delicious picnic at one of the restaurants by the riverbank. Under the shade of trees, it is a memorable experience to taste the freshly caught fish (chicken is also available for those who prefer) eaten with a local salad and unlimited local drinks. Before returning to resort, there is time to relax in this pleasant environment. A fun day for all the family looking for a few hours away from the heat of the summer sun.
