The Turkish Bath had a bit of a rebirth in Victorian times, although the idea actually came from the ancient Greeks. You’ll get to experience one for yourself on this tour. It all begins in what’s known as the relaxation room, which is heated by a flow of hot, dry air. After a few minutes you’ll be transferred to an even warmer room, known as the ‘hot room’. This is where you’ll get a bit of a sweat on, before being hosed down with cold water from head to toe. Unwinding gets easier after this – you’ll be treated to a moisturising body peel and a soothing back massage with essential oils. You’ll then have some time to soak in the hot tub, before having a face mask applied and gearing up for the grand finale – an all-over aromatherapy body massage.
