This is a premier learning experience in the Everglades Area and is superb for the entire family. Your licensed US Coast Guard Captain and Florida Master Naturalist Guide, in a very comfortable power boat, will take you through the mangrove estuary of the costal Everglades and 10,000 Islands.
You will learn about the area as a whole- its unique ecosystems, as well as, its rich heritage and culture. You may encounter manatees, dolphins, sea turtles, bald eagles, ospreys, heron, egrets, pelicans, roseate spoonbills, and/or numerous species of fish and shore birds. Once the remote barrier island destination is reached, you will leave the power boat for a hands-on experience on the island’s beaches, tidal pools, and inter-tidal zones. Shelling on these beaches is awesome as they can only be reached with a boat.
