Información

Your tour starts either at the Roque de Los Muchachos (2,426 m. above the sea level - 24 Km.) or at the Pico de La Cruz (2.351 m. above the sea level - 18 Km). From one of those points your walk follows the GR 131 along the rim, enjoying the spectacular views into the gigantic Caldera de Taburiente crater and to the neighboring islands.

Once you reach the Pico de La Nieve (2.239 m) the path goes gently downhill to the south until "Refugio Punta de los Roques" (2.040 m). From here the trail descend steeply until you find the "Reventon", a crossroads between East and Westside of the island.

Here you will find the signs from a new path, PR LP1, who brings you steeply downhill directly to the Church "Virgen del Pino". Once you achieve this point, you still have to walk some 4 Km more along the paved road until you find the Visitor Center of the National Park Caldera de Taburiente where you can take the regular bus back to your accomodation (line 300 to Santa Cruz or Los Llanos every half hour).
