After having been picked-up from your downtown accommodation in Paris, you will be chauffeured by our driver-guide to a wonderful day in Burgundy. There, you will discover lovely landscapes and famous vineyard.
You will start your day by visiting The "Château de Bazoches" Built in the twelfth century, halfway up a wooded hill, upon the site of an old Roman post on the gateway to Morvan, with a direct view on Vezelay (at 10 km), the feudal Château de Bazoches, has a trapezoidal architecture made up of four towers and a keep surrounding an inner courtyard. Descendants of Charlotte de Vauban, elder daughter of the Marshal, the current owners keep with care many remembers of their famous ancestor, among a great furniture.
Later in the morning, you will arrive in Vezelay, one of the most beautiful villages of France, a sanctuary, a delicious white wine, a place for the pilgrim to start from on the road to St. Jacques de Compostelle and the gateway to the Morvan. With an exceptionally well preserved environment of supreme landscape, there are underestimated treasures to be found in the heart of each village. Here you will visit, the Basilica, a masterpiece of Romanesque art and UNESCO world heritage. You'll also spend time in Vezelay, Eternal Hill.
In the afternoon, before returning to your Paris hotel and after a trip around Chablis and its beautiful 13th-century Saint-Martin Church, you can take a path through some of the most splendid vineyards before leaving the Serein Valley and enjoy a wine tasting in a cellar.
