Tour Clásico en Trabant

During this joyride you will have the chance to get acquainted with the most popular sights of Budapest, and even to learn how to drive the communist era relic, the mighty Trabant!

Sightseeing - 2,5-3 hours. We pick you up at your hotel and our staff drives you to the major sights of Budapest. Our professional English-speaking guide not only shares the basic facts about them but will tell the most interesting bits dug out of the small print of their respective as well. Our route includes the Parliament, Heroes’ Square, Andrássy Avenue, Chain Bridge, the Citadel, the Memento Communist Statues’ Park. During the sightseeing we provide amenities such as traditional Hungarian refreshment drinks and candy or pastries.

Closed track obstacle race - 1hour. The racetrack is at a 10 minute driving distance from the Memento park. Here you will first learn how to drive a Trabant, and immediately after that you can test your Trabant driving skills in an obstacle race. During the race we will score your accomplishment as per time and penalty points, and based on these results the ‘best Trabant driver' in the group gets a certificate stating just that as a proof to the whole wide world.

Optional program - 3hours. Visit a vineyard (2-3h).From the racetrack you will drive out to Etyek vine cellars where our sommelier awaits you and shows you around in the cellars to give a taste of wine making - and its results as well, with a wine flight of 6. You are free to choose between enjoying your wine with cheese and pastries or you can have a 3 dish traditional dinner in the cozy inn of the vinery. After the program our staff drives you back to the city.

Meeting/pick-up point: Pick up at the hotel.
Duration: Six and a half hours including optional vineyard tour. Tour without the option is four hours approximately.
Start/opening time: At 10am.
Languages: English. French, German and Italian upon advanced request.
Others: No child-seat available in trabants. A weight restriction of 100kg applies. Valid driving licence must be provided. Wine tasting accompanied with cheese and pastries included in the optional programme.
