Begin your sightseeing tour of Tokyo with a drive-by the Imperial Palace, National Diet Building, State Guest House, Ginza and Akihabara – the famed Electric Town - on our way to Senso-ji Temple and Nakamise Shopping Street. Of the 33 temples in Eastern Japan dedicated to the Goddess Kannon, Asakusa Kannon is the only one in the capital (No. 13 on the pilgrimage to all 33 temples), boasting a history of over 1,300 years. The temple is well known for Kaminarimon, a bright red gate with a massive traditional lantern which stands at the entrance to the promenade. Visit this historic area which includes Nakamise-dori, the street leading to the temple where colourful souvenirs, traditional food stands and large paper lanterns might catch your eye.

In the same area we step back to the modern side of Tokyo – the bright, shiny and silvery Tokyo Skytree. The world’s tallest freestanding tower, this modern structure affords views all the way to Mt Fuji on a good day. Head up to the first observation deck located 350 metres in the air and soak in the breathtaking views over the city skyline.

At TOKYO SKYTREE, you may have to get off and on at a bus stop nearby and walk to TOKYO SKYTREE for about five minutes. Admission tickets to the TOKYO SKYTREE TEMBO GALLERY (450m) is not included in this tour package.
