Afitos or Athitos? That is the usual question one has to answer when asked for the name of this rock-built village, located in Chalkidiki. Both names are in fact valid, since Afitos is the modern name of the ancient village Afitis. The beautiful little streets with the stone houses are full of secrets and surprises.
The blue waters of the sea can be admired on the balcony of the village, where also the tavern, Thea Thalassa (‘sea view’), is located. Taste good, traditional Greek cuisine in a modern environment and enjoy the magnificent view.
