Experience the power of nature at southern Tasmania’s ‘must-see’ attraction. Tahune AirWalk offers a full day of fun in the great outdoors for the whole family.
Experience breathtaking views of the forest canopy, wild southern rivers and glorious scenery. Marvel at this unique 620 metre long elevated walkway high above the forest floor. Experience breathtaking views from the cantilever suspended 50 metres above the Huon River.
Journey through the forest to the spine-tingling swinging bridges suspended over the mighty-Huon and Picton Rivers or simply enjoy the peaceful Huon pine forest walk.
Indulge in Tasmanian food and wine in the licensed cafe and browse the extensive range of souvenirs and clothing. Send your friends photos using our free WIFI.
Thrill seekers, you can’t go past the Eagle Glide adventure. Feel the wind beneath your wings as you glide through tall trees and over the Huon River. You can even touch Tasmania’s famous Huon pine from the viewing platform. This 400-metre long cable hang gliding experience runs from the treetops to the forest floor.
Can’t fit it all into one day? Stay at the AirWalk Lodge and sleep among the giant of the forest. The AirWalk Lodge is ideally suited to families, couples, school groups and backpackers, with a total of eight rooms accommodating up to 23 guests or the self-contained cabin for four. Guests staying at the AirWalk Lodge also have the exclusive opportunity to experience an owl’s eye view of the Tasmanian forest at night.
The Tahune AirWalk is a 90-minute scenic drive south of Hobart, through the Huon Valley. We recommend spending a minimum of three hours to enjoy and absorb the scenic beauty of all three walks.
