On this tour, you will get to know some of the most important architecture from Britain’s long history, traveling through the ages visiting Stonehenge, Bath & Windsor Castle.
We will begin with pick-up in an air-conditioned van from the meeting point (Temple Place st./ Temple Station) we’ll be off to Salisbury Plain, where the giant ancient rock formations of Stonehenge were mysteriously placed millennia ago. Gain essential insights into the majesty of Stonehenge. See the site and take great pictures without the masses of tourists. The great thing about this place, aside from being a perplexing marvel of ancient architecture, is that its original purpose is still unknown. Every visitor to Stonehenge can create their own meaning. You’ll have to experience the giant structure to decide for yourself.
We will continue the journey to Bath, a city noted for its Georgian architecture, considered one of the most beautiful cities in England. We will visit the Roman Baths, and enjoy the impressive views of this city. You will be able to take panoramic pictures of the streets, of Bath Abbey and of Pulteney Bridge.
Next, we will head towards Windsor Castle, which is famous for being the home to the British royal family for the past 900 years, besides being the world’s oldest and largest castle. While the guide gives a complete explanation of the palace’s history, you’ll explore the fascinating royal apartments and the Chapel of Saint George.
