Even if you haven’t yet heard of a Segway – a two-wheel scooter-like device – you’ll be an expert by the end of this two-hour guided tour. The session starts with a safety briefing, so you’ll know the ins and outs of your Segway before you set off towards the seaside town of Kato Paphos. It’s home to the archaeological site of an ancient city, which was founded by a king in the 4th century BC. This was once an important political centre until it was badly damaged by an earthquake. Fortunately, the town’s impressive collection of intricate mosaics survived the quake, and can still be seen today. The House of Dionysos – the god of wine – is a great example of this. It’s the town’s largest and most well-known mosaic house. Many of its floors are covered with patterns, which tell the story of the legend this monument is named after.
