Happy and peaceful vibes to start the tour in a beautiful, traditional Japanese buddhist temple. Tenryuji is the head temple of its own school of Buddhism within the Rinzai Zen and is rightly classed as a World Heritage Site. Built in 1339 this spiritual building is fascinating and educative, learn about the rich history and pleasant stories surrounding this elegant temple.
Our journey next takes us to the breathtaking, outskirts of Kyoto in the pleasant tourist district of Arashiyama, a wonderful rural zone, famous for its cherry blossom and fabulous autumnal colours during the toasty season of Fall. Arashiyama is home to Tenryuji Temple among other treasures such as the Togetsukyo Bridge, which offers lovely views of this little paradise, and bamboo groves. Temples are scattered around the bottom of the harmonious mountains away from the rush of the tourist locations. The temple itself is a peaceful and calming, slice of lush relaxation emerged in a leafy green and natural surroundings, breathe deeply as you admire the pagodas and gardens.
If you choose the option with lunch, tuck into a traditional Japanese style lunch onboard the Yakatabune Boat Boarding Pier. Enjoy the delicious tastes and sensations that are so dearly adored by the locals and travelers alike. Once you disembark from the boat you are free to continue your day, whether that be continuing the adventure or returning to your hotel to reflect on the excellent morning.
