The sport of canoe surfing is unique to Hawai’i, more specifically to Waikiki Beach. In old Hawai’i, canoe surfing was a privilege reserved solely for the ali’i, or Hawaiian royalty. To this day, Waikiki Beach is the only place in the world where you can race down a wave on an outrigger canoe.
Meeting/pick-up point: To join your activity please go to the Information Kiosk on the Royal Hawaiian Hotel's pool deck. The Royal Hawaiian is located at 2259 Kalakaua Ave, Honolulu, HI 96815. Go out to the beach through the path between Cheesecake Factory and Outrigger Waikiki Hotel.
Duration:
Start/opening time:Everyday from 9:00am to 3:30pm. Please call the supplier 48 hours prior to activity date to confirm interaction time.
-End/closing time: Every day at 4pm.
Languages: English and Japanese.
Others: Canoe sits 4 paddlers and 2 crew members, with space for up to 2 additional rider seats. All participants must be 3 years of age or older.Please note bookings are accommodated according to the number of participants and specific time slots can't be guaranteed.
