Turn this winter into an otherworldly experience with this fun filled tour of the Austrian countryside. Snowy woods, warm homey inns and a magical sleigh ride are more than enough to guarantee an unforgettable day.
We begin by travelling along the Salach river valley, from where we’ll see many of Austria’s skiing resorts. Near Schladming, where the 1982 ski world championship took place, we ascend the Steirische Ramsau at the foot one an Alpine glacier the infamous Dachstein. Once in town, we have lunch at the local inn before the jingling of bells on reins warns us that our ride has arrived. Hop aboard and your winter sleigh adventure begins! Along the way we will stop for a refreshment and Austrian specialties, and for the horses to take a break. You will return to civilisation feeling like a child again.
