This trip is best described as a reef crawl. The experience starts when you board a luxury catamaran at De Palm Pier in Palm Beach. From here, you’ll sail out to some of Aruba’s best snorkelling spots. The first stop of the day will be Catalina Bay, where starfish cling to the rocks beneath the water. Arashi reef is the next on the list. Turtles, octopus and angel fish are regulars around the coral, but the real reason people come to snorkel here isn’t natural. The skeleton of a merchant ship broods on the seabed here. The drinks and snacks will be on ice for your entire trip. If you want to get closer to the underwater exhibits, you can upgrade your snorkelling trip to a snuba experience. Snuba is a hybrid of snorkelling and scuba diving. You’ll breathe through a regulator that’s attached to an air supply on the surface, so you don’t have cumbersome gas tanks on your back.
