Brace yourself for an unforgettable experience that will see you crossing the jungle, snorkelling in underwater caves and around coral reefs, and kayaking in the sea. This action-packed full day trip is a Maya rainforest adventure like no other that transports like back to a primeval wilderness that will have your heart pumping and adrenalin flowing.
The fun begins with an exhilarating jungle crossing in a 4WD all-terrain vehicle. Take in the sights and sounds of the jungle as you bump along to Rancho San Felipe, a small Maya community where the Nohoch Nah Chich cenote system is located. This is the second longest underground river system in the world and it is here that you will undertake an unforgettable snorkelling adventure into the fresh waters of the underground rivers. Swim deep inside the caverns and you can observe stunning stalactite and stalagmite formations above and below the crystal-clear water. You will then be transported to ‘Heaven’s Gate’, another entrance to this beautiful underground river system.
Take a break for a traditional Maya lunch and enjoy the hospitality at the ranch before resuming the action in the afternoon. Head towards the secluded Bay of Punta Soliman, which is near the ruins of the ancient city of Tulum. This picturesque spot is where you will paddle out into the sea aboard a kayak. Explore a reef system where you can jump into the beautiful turquoise waters and snorkel to your heart’s content, observing the spectacular corals, sponges and tropical fish of the Mexican Caribbean.
