Ever been in a gothic church at night, and in the dark? Ever explored its secret passageways by candlelight? We close the doors of the Basilica del Pi, one of Barcelona’s most spectacular 14th century Gothic churches, and we turn off the lights.
Using lanterns to light the way, we explore the ancestral way of seeing and living beauty, exploring by candlelight dark, hidden spaces normally off limits to visitors: the altar, the sacrarium, the sacristy and the bell tower, open to the public for the first time in its 500 year history. We top off the evening with a breathtaking panoramic view of the city from the highest point in the Old City.
