The buzz word on this tour is ‘scenery'. You'll experience the best of Mauritius, from the underwater coral of the Indian Ocean to the jungle canopies of the mainland. The trip begins with a catamaran ride around the coast. You'll sail along the south-east shoreline, passing bottle-green mountains and islets. About half-way through the morning, your captain will halt the boat, so you can strap on a snorkel and discover the parrot fish, groupers and moray eels that swim beneath the waves. After your snorkelling session, there'll be a photo stop at the Grand River South East Waterfalls, a nearby beauty spot. From here, you'll head back to the mainland, ready for lunch and a hike through Ferney Valley. This 200-hectare nature reserve is part of one of the island's oldest forests, and it's filled with more than 100 indigenous plants.
