Begin this tour with the visit of the town of Curepipe. The island's most central town, Curepipe, as a major commercial hub, hosts luxury aristocratic mansions and modern buildings of embassies and businesses. The Town Hall commonly known as Hotel de Ville, opened in 1902 has a unique and splendid architecture as well as Royal College of XVI – XVII centuries .
Another tourist destination nearby is the Trou-aux Cerfs, a dormant crater where you get a complete view of Curepipe and other towns for its splendid view, cold fresh air and marvelous sun- sets.Proceed with the visit of Ganga Talao, a crater lake situated in a secluded mountain area in the district of Savanne deep in the heart o? Mauritius . It is about 1800 feet above sea level. It is considered as the most sacred Hindu place in Mauritius .
There is a temple dedicated to Shiva and other Gods including Hanuman, Lakshmi, and others along the Grand Bassin. During Maha Shivarati, many pilgrims in Mauritius walk bare feet from their homes to the lake.
Complete the day with La Vanille Crocodile Park, a picturesque and idyllic nature reserve extending over 3.5 hectares of luxuriant greenery. Come face to face with huge Nile crocodiles and walk through the herds of giant Aldabra tortoises. Impressive collection of insects including beautiful butterflies is waiting for you after the visit to the crocodile farm.Part of the attraction is "Crocodile Affamé" or Hungry Crocodile Restaurant built among the tree-tops.

Gris Gris, the southern end of the island, is quite different from the other open water areas with its strong currents crashing against sheer cliffs making it a dramatic but wonderful view.
