Medio Día City Tour La Serena & Coquimbo

The tour begins in La Serena, with a visit to the Plaza de Armas, the cathedral, the crafts market of La Recova, the Archeological Museum, where it is possible to appreciate different pieces of local culture.

Later, tour around Francisco de Aguirre Av., with its Carrara marble statues, the Faro Monumental de La Serena (Lighthouse of La Serena) (the city’s icon), the Avenida del Mar, characterized by all the tourist development. Afterwards, it is the turn for the port city Coquimbo, the Cruz del Tercer Milenio, Barrio Inglés, a neighborhood of restored and preserved large houses from the 19th century that is currently a place for leisure and local arts.

To conclude, the Fuerte de Coquimbo, a true relic, since it was built during the second half of the 17th century in the area called Punta de Pelícano, where the corsairs on board of their galleons navigates the Northern coasts of Chile causing terror.
