Mayan Night Tour

You will be picked-up at the hotel lobby (times depending on the hotel) to go to the Ecological Reserve “Dos Palmas”, a small Mayan Community in the forest, that maintains cheers its traditions. Here will begin visiting a typical Mayan cabin where we will learn about its old customs.

After an introduction to the ceremony of Mayan purification, we will learn to play the sea snail, which we will use during the ritual to unite to us with the nature. We will encounter the Shaman around the ceremonial circle, where we will be part of a spectacular ancestral ritual of purification and will have the unique opportunity to enter the Temazcal (old sacred steam bath).

Then, we will walk in the rain forest until arriving at the illuminated natural well (cenote) at night to swim in crystalline waters. It is an unforgettable experience to enjoy this moment to take energy and to relax. Enjoy a typical Mayan dinner with a family from the community. A magical atmosphere will accompany us during all night.

Meeting/pick-up point: To take transportation for this activity the client must go to the meeting point at Sr. Frogs Muelle Ultramar.
Duration: 4 hours (excluding transfer time).
Start/opening time: At 6pm.
End/closing time: At 10pm.

Opening days/period: on Wednesday and Saturday.
Medical restrictions: Not suitable for pregnant women, claustrophobic people or people with cardiac problems.
Min. Age: 15 years for the Temazcal activity.
Others: We recommend to bring swim suit, towel, change of dry clothes, camera, sandals or comfortable shoes, repellent for the insects, extra money for tips and souvenirs. Please don't bring with you jewelry and clocks in the Temazcal activity.
