No trip to Turkey is complete without polishing off your haggling skills in one of its marketplaces. This day out lets you explore one of Marmaris’ bazaars and try to barter down the best price on all sorts of things. You’ll start the day with a stop at a jewellery shop, before making your way to the bazaar. The rest of the day is then yours to wander around the criss-crossing aisles of the market. You’ll come across vendors flogging spices, hand-woven carpets, homemade ceramic gifts, and plenty of copy-cat designer clothing. Here’s a tip – if something catches your fancy, try offering a third of the asking price. The seller will have a comeback, but you’ll probably end up paying less than half of the original price.
