Little England was what Barbados was called many years ago while we were still under British rule. It is true that Barbados has been independent since 1966 but there are still remnants of those days gone by. Those days can be best seen in our Gardens and great houses. Hunts Gardens is full of tropical colours and beautiful pathways that one can meander. Following the gardens we will head off to St. Nicholas Abbey. It is likely the last remaining authentic house of the 17th Century that exists anywhere in the ''New World''. When this residence was built around 1658. St Nicholas Abbey is a phenomenal sight and along with the house tour and historic video you will also be invited to partake in a bit of Rum Tasting.
