Jerez de la Frontera’s claim to fame is its sherry, so what better way to get to know the city than by sampling a few glasses? After a panoramic tour by bus, you’ll hop off and have an hour or so to explore the palm-fringed streets and shady squares on foot. Next up is a trip to the Royal School of Equestrian Art, where you’ll get the chance to see a one-of-a-kind performance by Jerez’s famous dancing horses. After this, it’s on to a traditional bodega – a cellar where the sherry is produced and stored in rows of wooden barrels. Our guide will lead us around, teaching us the secrets of sherry production, before we try out the tipple for ourselves.
