Kassandra is the western peninsula of Chalkidiki and, according to the Greek mythology, the home of giants. It took its name from Kassandros, the king of Macedonia. There are countless beaches with golden sand and hills with green forests all along the peninsula, creating the perfect combination of the light blue crystal waters and the dark green of the trees. Pine and fir forests reaching up to the shores offer guests the dew and shadow needed for the hot days of summertime. Situated just 1 km away from the village of Kallithea, meaning beautiful view', guests can browse through a variety of shops, cafés and ice cream parlours which line the pedestrian streets. The hotel opened in 1988 and has a total of 128 double rooms. The serenity of the hotel's grounds with intertwining lanes, waterfalls and traditional architecture, is ideal for both younger and older guests seeking tranquillity. Shared amenities at the hotel include currency exchange facilities, a café, bar, games room, restaurant and conference facilities. Guests can use the hotel's room and laundry services for an additional fee. All of the hotel's spacious, comfortable and sunny double rooms have their own balcony or terrace and a private bathroom with shower. A direct dial telephone, refrigerator, safe, central heating and individually adjustable air conditioning come with the rooms as standard. Adding an extra bed for families or larger groups is not a problem. There is an outdoor pool with a poolside snack bar within the hotel grounds.
