This tour will feature viewing the major monuments of 20th century American architecture and exploring the history of the communities in the Midtown area. We will also view the interiors of some of these monuments. Highlights include the hidden residential enclave Tudor City, the United Nations building, the Ford Foundation Building, the Chanin Building, the Chrysler Building, Grand Central Terminal, Carrere and Hastings' New York Public Library and the Daily News Building.
Meeting/pick-up point: Across the street from the United Nations building (on the North West corner of 42nd and 1st Ave near Ralph Bunch Park).
Duration: 3 hours.
Start/opening time: Tuesday's from March, November to December, and Tuesday's and Thursday's from April to October at approximately at 11am.
End/closing time: 2pm.
