Home to 580 species and around 30,000 creatures in total, Kaiyukan Aquarium is one of the largest aquariums in the world. We make our way to this giant aquarium by subway and foot, where on arrival you have time to marvel at the creatures of the deep. Get a glimpse into life in the ocean where you’ll even see the majestic whale sharks swimming calmly above your head. With a walkway just longer than 800 metres, the displays at Kaiyukan Aquarium are spellbinding.

Next door to the aquarium is the waterfront market of Tempozan. Spend some time discovering fascinating eateries selling a variety of local specialities from a wide range of restaurants in the Naniwa Kuishinbo food theme park.

We then hop aboard the Santa Maria for a cruise along Osaka Bay. Take in the sights of the city from above the ocean in a replica of Christopher Columbus’ ship and make it a day to remember in Japan’s 3rd largest and most diverse city.

Meeting/pick-up point: Hotel Granvia Osaka, Sunrise Tours Meeting Spot. Go to Nishi-Umeda Station on foot. From Nishi-Umeda Station go to Osakako Station. Proceed to Osakako Station by subway, then continue to Kaiyukan Aquarium on foot.
Duration: 4.5 hours.
Start/opening time: At 1pm.
End/closing time: At 5:30pm.
Opening days/period: Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
Languages: English.
End point: Nishi-Umeda / JR Osaka Station.
Not included: A separate charge must be paid for each 4 or 5 year old child who enters the Kaiyukan Aquarium (as of May 1, 2016). Please note that this rate may be changed depending on facility operations.
Dress Code: As this is a walking tour, please wear shoes and clothing that are suitable to walking.
