After departing the Lake Rotorua area your tour will take you arcross the scenic Mamaku Rangers and into the Waikato region of rokking green hills of ''''The Shire'''' The reason why this area was chosen for The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings is readily apparent on arriving at The Shires Rest Cafe. You will commence your tour of The Hobbiton Movie Set and Farm from that point. Before your return trip to Rotorua enjoys a light snack at The Shires Rest.

Meeting/pick-up point: Hobbiton Shop.
Duration: 4.5 hours.
Start/opening time: At 8:15am for the morning tour. At 1:15pm for the afternoon tour (we recommend to arrive 15 minutes prior to departure time).
Languages: English.
Others: Included: brief stop at The Shire's Rest with return transport, guide and commentary, entrance fees.
Tours run in most weather conditions - umbrellas are provided in the event of rain.
