Begin your day with a cruise on the pristine waters of Lake Wanaka to Mou Waho Island Nature Reserve. A guided walk to the spectacular summit reveals the island's secret a lake on top of an island! Enjoy high tea up close and personal with rare native birds, including weka, wood pigeon and bellbird. Plant a tree as part of this unique eco experience.
Optional gourmet picnic lunch or spend free time exploring Wanaka's great cafes or restaurants (12:30 -1:30pm).
Afternoon: Enjoy a 4WD journey exploring the private back roads of an iconic Wanaka high country sheep, cattle and deer farm, and European heritage sites. See spectacular views overlooking the island visited and Lake Wanaka far below and the Southern Alps including Mt Aspiring (3033m) from the high rest point of the 4WD.
