Agaete Valley is one of the favorite destinations for those who visit the North of the island of Gran Canaria. Located in the heart of the valley, a place to travelers, botanists and archaeologists over the past centuries, is the La Laja, a working farm of 12 hectares. Here are cultivated fruit trees of tropical and subtropical (coffee trees, papaya, avocado, orange, mango) and grapes to produce wines recognized among the best in the Canary Islands and Spain. A farm where you can make guided visit and taste and buy their products.
Among the various fruits of La Laja, highlights the Arabica coffee, grown in the valley of Agaete from the nineteenth century, and in the twenty-first century, is marketed under a single brand for all producers in the valley: “Coffee Agaete “. Curiously, it is the only brand of coffee that is grown in a European country.
Inside the farm, the Winery Los Berrazales produces dry white wines, semi-dry and sweet and red wines from grapes harvested from their own production.
You will enjoy the typical canarian place and their local products around marvelous landscape.
