You have already heard of the great reputation that Czech beer has, and now is your chance to taste it for yourself and learn why the Czech Republic makes some of the best beer in the world! The pilsens and budvar beers all over the world are not the real beer culture we’ll show you on this tour!
This will be an evening of tasting amazing, small production beers (known as microbrews) from some of the highest quality small breweries in the world and eating some of the most delicious traditional Czech beer snacks on offer in Prague. With a long established history of beer making, the Czechs are the standard bearers of the craft. For over 1000 years Czech beer has been supported by Kings, embraced wholeheartedly by the people, looked after with a loving touch by skilled brew masters, and gained respect the world over.
Come with us as we put a frosty mug in your hand and fill it with some of the most amazing, robust lagers and stouts you will ever have the privilege to taste. (No large factory multinational beers.) It’s all about the learning about the beer tradition and culture and visiting a local small brewery in downtown Prague! Also included is a beer museum visit and taster snacks of some of the local specialities with great stories behind them - your guide will entertain you while you taste them all!
We will start the tour visiting a beer museum teaching you about the beer history and culture in Czech. During the museum visit you’ll be able to see real beer process props from the medieval times up as well as try a several types of beer on site.
After we will visit a small centuries old building that is a beer hall where they still brew their own beer right in the middle of Prague’s inner old town! The small brewery we visit is not normally known nor on the touristy track and often overlooked by the average visitor to Prague. Your guide will tell you about the current situation of beer making in the country, and let you enjoy a few top-notch varieties of delicious Czech craft beer. Amidst all of the beer fun we’ll also get into the particulars of what Czech cuisine is all about. The waiter will bring a robust platter of traditional Czech beer snacks from a local chef that let’s you try what Czechs like to eat along with their beer. (These taster platters are not equivalent to a full dinner but still filling enough).
