Located in Montjuïc, Poble Espanyol is one of Barcelona’s biggest attractions. Particularly impressive is the fascinating blend of Spanish architecture in the village, with replicas of 117 different buildings from around Spain. Equally striking is the Fran Daurel Museum, a valuable collection showcasing more than 300 works from contemporary artists such as Dalí, Miró and Picasso. In addition, dotted around the village are more than 20 craft workshops, where you can watch the artisans at work. Open 365 days a year, these make Poble Espanyol a truly unique place to shop. Last but not least, there is no shortage of bars and restaurants where you can sit out on one of the terraces and soak up the peaceful, traffic-free atmosphere.
We continue our visit towards Barcelona’s most important landmark: the Sagrada Família, Antoni Gaudí's unfinished masterpiece. Regardless of all the controversy surrounding the Sagrada Familia it is a truly magnificent building and an absolute must-see when you visit Barcelona. We make a stop close by so you can walk around and take pictures of this wonderful building.
During the panoramic tour through Barcelona you will also see the Arc de Triomf, the Olympic village and much more. Before we enter the city centre of Barcelona Barcelona, we will drive along the beautiful houses built in the modernist style of Gaudí: Casa Mila and Casa Batlló. In the city centre of Barcelona you can enjoy some free time (around 1 hour and 20 minutes). You can choose to stroll along the Ramblas with its famous living statues and various stalls of flowers and birds or to walk around the Plaza Catalunya or the Gothic Quarter with its Cathedral of Santa Eulalia and the many side streets plenty of shops and markets.
After this we drive past the OIympic Stadium on our way to Montjuïc, Barcelona’s broad shallow hill overlooking the harbour and the city centre, where we end our day.
