Santiago Classic City Tour

Discover the Chilean capital on an educational yet fun 3 hour tour. Situated in the country’s central valley and home to 7 million people, this city is one of South America’s best gems due to its growing economy, its hints of modern-day renaissance and its prominent art scene.

See all the most iconic landmarks in the centre and experience Chile’s rich cultural heritage. Visit the Plaza de Armas, the main square of the capital surrounded by all the most important historic buildings and consists of an urban, square grid pattern designed by Pedro de Gamboa in 1541. Enjoy the escape from city life with a visit to Cerro Santa Lucia, a green paradise full or statues, trees and plants and the perfect backdrop to relax. Admire the neoclassical 18th Century architecture of La Moneda, home to Chile’s presidential offices before visiting other beautiful buildings including The Post Office and Santiago Metropolitan Cathedral.

Head to Cerro San Cristobal, a hill rising at nearly 1,000 feet tall and boasts sweeping views of the whole city. Consisting of 722 hectares, this is the largest park in the city and home to the 14 metres tall Virgen de la Inmaculada Concepción statue.

Later, head to the upper class neighborhood of the “Orient Sector” the most modern and rich part of Santiago. Let your draw drop as you take in the surrounding high-rise buildings and luxurious boulevards. To end the tour we’ll return back to your or hotel or stop off first at a local restaurant, at your own expense.

Valparaiso and Viña del Mar

Discover the cities of Valparaiso and Vina del Mar on this full day tour from Santiago. On the way to the coast, we will pass through the beautifully groomed vineyards of Curacavi and Casablanca valleys, which are famous wine regions. Valparaiso, Spanish for Paradise Valley, is a cultural hotspot that serves as one of the country’s most important seaports. The entire city is recognized as an UNESCO World Heritage Site for its intriguing cobblestone labyrinth of streets, historic buildings, and ancient funiculars along the steep sloping hills.

From the 21 de Mayo lookout, you'll enjoy spectacular panoramic views of the city and harbour. Your guide will point out some of the more interesting sights and will be happy to answer any questions you may have. Next, you'll visit the garden city, Viña del Mar, home to the most-visited beach on Chile’s central coast.

This city boasts beautiful parks and gardens, and miles of sandy beaches. See the Presidential Castle, Liberty Avenue, the 1930s Casino, and various classical century-old mansions. As a part of the experience, you may want enjoy lunch in Viña del Mar at your own expense.
