Cyprus offers up some fascinating history and this day trip is great for taking it all in. After visiting the 2,000-year-old temple of Apollo, next stop is the Petra tou Romiou, an off-shore rock where – according to mythology – the Goddess of Love, Aphrodite, rose from the waves. After a quick photo, you’ll head to the UNESCO-rated Tombs of the Kings, and then on to Paphos. The old town is full of tradition and history with cobbled streets and independent cafés, while the modern harbour is brimming with bars and restaurants, where you can enjoy a spot of lunch. In the afternoon, it’s on to the Roman mosaics at the Villa of Dionysos. And last but not least, we’ll take you to the ancient village of Yeroskipos. It’s not just known for its medieval monuments, but also a sweet and tasty treat that you’ll probably know as Turkish delight.
