Like the old saying goes, ‘a bad day fishing is always better than a good day at work’. Today, you’ll find out exactly why. You’ll meet up with a local fisherman, who’ll take you out in his boat to his favourite cast-off points and teach you his techniques of scoring the catch of the day. You’ll have a go at trolling, where the motion of a moving boat pulls the bait through the water. Plus, you’ll try your hand at angling with a simple hook, line and net. In terms of what you can hope to catch, tuna, barracuda, and mackerel all thrive in the waters off Cyprus’ eastern shores.
