You’ll see a lot of what Costa Rica has to offer on this two-day tour, which covers the Arenal Volcano, its hot springs, the Monteverde Skywalk and a coffee plantation. Day one takes you to La Fortuna, a town that was established after a massive volcanic eruption destroyed three nearby villages. After a short hike through the rainforest, you’ll get to spend a relaxing couple of hours in one of the Arenal Volcano national park’s hot springs, before returning to La Fortuna for an overnight stay. On day two, you’ll cross Lake Arenal to get to the Monteverde Skywalk. Hanging high above the rainforest canopy, this collection of walkways and bridges puts you close to the diverse animals – like spider monkeys, sloths and Quetzal birds – that live here. Back on the ground, you’ll visit the butterfly and hummingbird gardens, which are each home to over 20 different species. Finally, you’ll discover the ins and outs of world-famous Costa Rican coffee at one of the region’s many plantations.
