In the Rijksmuseum, you will find the largest collection of art objects showing the history of the Netherlands. As many as 8,000 paintings, statues and historical objects tell the history of the Netherlands, from the Middle Ages to the present day. In the beautifully decorated rooms of the Rijksmuseum, you will find not only the main works by Rembrandt van Rijn and Johannes Vermeer, but also jewels, costumes, weapons, model ships, furniture and Asiatic art. With a surface area of 12,000m2 filled with splendour, the Rijksmuseum is the largest museum in Amsterdam.

Start/opening time: Boat tour: From 9am to 6pm (last admission at 5pm) and from 9am to 10pm on Friday. Boat departs every 20 minutes. Rijksmuseum: from 10am to 5pm.
