Chimera and Olympos Tour

An amazing and unforgettable experience with a mystical atmosphere. After collection from the hotels, the tour will drive to a meeting point to meet the guide and join the jeeps for the safari, driving through Kuzdere, Camyuva and Tekirova until it arrives at Cirali Beach, a 3 km long, beautiful beach (a swimming break is given). It’s a short drive from there to Yanartas (burning stone) which is located above the Cirali Village near Olympos.

This hill is also known as Chimera due to the myth about a fire-spewing monster with the head of a lion, the body of a goat and the tail of a snake. According to mythology, the monster Chimera brings fire to earth from seven layers deep; the actual cause for the flames is a natural underground gas source. The flames burn all year round and are especially attractive to visit in the dark. After Chimera the tour moves on to Ulupinar Waterfall Restaurant for dinner (fish or chicken, starter plate, salad and seasonal fruits).

At 10.00 pm the tour begins the return journey back to Kemer. This tour is specially organised in the evening because it is more attractive to visit the flames of Chimera in the dark when the fire is more visible.

Meeting/pick-up point: Pick-up from hotel.
Duration: 6 hours.
Start/opening time: 5.30pm.
End/closing time: 11pm.
