The Boutari Winery is filled with the magical aura of the island and promises to be a thrilling, once-in-a-lifetime experience. Whether you consider yourself as an expert or if you are merely a novice; you will definitely have a laugh here as it’s insightful and informative and heaps of fun at the same time.

As the first winery on the island to open its doors to the public almost thirty years ago, we are a dab hand at ensuring our customers have a blast. On this delightful day you will practically be walked through all there is to know literally from grape to glass! You will be let in on the secrets that hide behind the well-known dessert wine known as the Vinsanto! It won’t be long before you get to taste the wine and come to see why we have made such a good name for ourselves.

The winery operates on rather a grand scale with the capacity to hold around a whopping 1600 tons of grapes per year! What has gone on here has had an effect on the industry in a major way, other professionals look to us as their guide as we bring a new flavour to the field with an innovative unrivalled style. We are always in search of how we can stand out in this field whilst we pay respect to our roots too, so we fuse together tradition alongside modern methods.

If you decide to pick the private option you get even more terrific treats! You will be able to feast out on a light lunch jam-packed with lovely local delicacies. You can also sample some exclusive old and current vintages of Boutrai wines. On top of that, you can try out the limited edition of Boutari Extra Virgin Olive Oil.
