Day 1: Liverpool
Liverpool is the birthplace of The Beatles - where they grew up, came together as a quartet and learned the trade that set them on the road to stardom. The city also inspired some of their most memorable songs including 'Strawberry Fields Forever', 'Penny Lane', 'In My Life' and 'Eleanor Rigby'.
Meet your Evan Evans representative at Euston Station and enjoy a relaxing train journey to Liverpool, on arrival you are on your own to enjoy this historic city. Enjoy an included visit to the Beatles Story where you can enjoy the most sensational story the pop world has ever known. In the afternoon enjoy a 'Magical Mystery Tour' aboard a recreation of the coach used in the 1967 film of the same name - see where the Beatles grew up and the landmarks of their lives, Penny Lane, Strawberry Field and much more. The tour ends at the famous Cavern Club.
Finally make you way back to Lime Street Station for the train back to London, arriving at approximately 9.15pm
Day 2: London
London is the city that The Beatles based themselves in from 1963 – the place to go for any aspiring group that wished to become a nationwide success. The Beatles developed their craft at the iconic Abbey Road recording studio as well as making TV, radio and live performances and socialising at the many swinging hotspots where exclusive clubs and 'happenings' were the places to be seen.
Many of the most famed, iconic and instantly-recognisable images of the Fabs, from nationwide Beatlemania to their final roof top appearance, were taken in London. The city provides the backdrop for all the LP covers from the first to the last; the locations for 'Hard Day’s Night', 'Help' and 'Magical Mystery Tour' were largely shot in London. Every official Beatles record was recorded in one of London's studios including Soho's Trident Studios, EMI's Abbey Road, and their own Saville Row basement. And while in London the Beatles got by 'with a little help from their friends' and, in turn, influenced them - The Rolling Stones, Bob Dylan and Jimi Hendrix are all part of the Beatles' story.
This intimate small group tour takes you through the back streets of London to places where other tour buses don't go. Your specialist rock guide will take you to over 100 iconic Beatles and rock sites during which you can enjoy trivia, original recordings and compare album covers to the real thing.
