Aventura St. James Way

Starting in San Sebastian, this tour will take us out of the city for some spectacular views. Heading to Ulia Mountain, we’ll enjoy a wonderful view before hiking along the coastal St. James Way, uncovering bits and pieces you’d never have known were there.

We’ll make our way to the lighthouse of La Plata, from where we’ll head down the hill to Pasaia San Pedro, where we’ll discover some unique cultural traditions and customs before embarking on a boat across the sea inlet.

We’ll enjoy more wicked views of the mountains and coast before coming to rest on the terrace of a bar in the beautiful port-side Santiago Square. After a quick couple pintxos (Basque tapas) and txakoli (regional white wine), we’ll wander the narrow streets of Pasaia, a place where Victor Hugo found inspiration, before returning to San Sebastian by public transport.

Meeting/pick-up point: Mariaren Bihotza Ikastola (in the Gros area, near the beach), under the tower of the church on the corner of Avenida de Navarra (“Hiribidea” in Basque) and Zemoriya Street. (Hint: there is an AVIA petrol station next to the church, and the nearest bus stop is Mariaren Bihotza).
Duration: Between 5 and 6 hours.
Start/opening time: At 8:30am.
Inclusions: Pintxo and drink, return boat crossing of the sea pass.
