When you embark on the Amsterdam Harbour Cruise you will experience the vibrant history of Amsterdam in its purest form – as a seaport. The past and the present reach out to each other on the banks of the IJ. From the city’s emergence in the 13th century, the merchants of the Dutch East India Company in the Golden Age to today’s modern city architecture on, for example, Java Island or the southernmost part of Amsterdam-North. While sailing past old warehouses, docks and boatyards, beneath bridges from the past and present, you will see the centuries merging together during the Amsterdam Harbour Cruise. A unique view of the seaport of Amsterdam.
