The area around the Algar Waterfall is a natural Champneys. Just a 15-minute drive from Benidorm, this area is defined by natural plunge pools, streams, and waterfalls. You can walk around the area using a series of wooden bridges, boardwalks and stairways. On this trip, you’ll follow the trail that takes you through the bed of the River Algar. This route is roughly one and half kilometres and you’ll have plenty of chances to pause for dips in the natural pools or showers under the cascades of white water. One of the waterfalls here was used as the set for a Tomotei shampoo advert back in the day. No matter how warm the sun is, the temperature of these pools rarely drops below 19˚C, so the water’s really refreshing. There will also be time on this trip to unwind with a glass of sangria, as the Algar waters ebb and flow around you.
