Enjoy a 3-day journey to Mont Saint Michel, the Loire River Valley and Tours
Day 1: visit the Mont Saint Michel
We cross the western districts of Paris and take the Normandy motorway as far as Mont Saint Michel. Lunch in a restaurant facing the monument. Guided visit of the Abbey, the gothic "Marvel" and the romanesque areas, followed by free time for exploring the village.
Departure for Angers. Dinner and overnight stop at the hotel.
Day 2: Visit the Castles of Langeais, Clos Lucé and gardens of Villandry
Departure from Angers with short stop for an outside glimpse of the Château d'Angers.
Guided visit of the Château of Langeais followed by free time for lunch in Amboise.
Then, guided visit of the Clos-Lucé, Leonardo da Vinci 's last dwellling followed by a visit of the gardens of Villandry.
Visit of the old historic district of Tours. Evening meal and overnight stop at the hotel in Tours.
Day 3: Visit the Castles of Chenonceau, Cheverny and Chambord
Guided visit of the Château de Chenonceau and of the Château de Cheverny and lunch.
In the afternoon, guided visit of the "Château de Chambord" (the largest and most imposing castle in the Loire Valley).
Meeting/pick-up point: Hotel pick-up.
Duration: 3 days.
Start/opening time: At 7:15am.
End/closing time: Around 7pm on the 3rd day.
Dress code:
We recommend bringing a raincoat or umbrella and a good pair of flat walking shoes to accommodate the inclined cobblestone streets and castle walkways.
Medical restrictions: Clients with walking difficulties will not be able to reach the Abbey at Mont Saint Michel (many steps).
Others: In October, we will visit Cheverny Castle instead of Chambord Castle. This tour operates in the summer season only from 2015, April 3rd.
